STEVE GARTON GENEALOGY - GODFREY EDITION OLD ORDNANCE SURVEY MAPS
ALCESTER LANE'S END & BRANDWOOD END 1937 - WARWICKSHIRE SHEET 19.05
These detailed maps normally cover an area of about one and a half miles by one mile. Each map includes an introduction and many include extracts of directories, local transport timetables and additional maps.
This detailed map covers the area south of King's Heath, including Brandwood End and Alcester Lane's End, stretching south to the Stratford Canal.
Features in this largely residential area include Brandwood End Cemetery, Greyhound racecourse, Chantry House, golf course, tramway, Warstock Farm, Billesley Common, mental hospital etc. Alcester Road South runs N-S through the centre of the map.
The map links up with sheets 19.01 Kings Heath to the north, Worcestershire 10.08 Lifford to the west.
It will be posted in a board backed envelope to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
NB: We are unable to do searches of maps. We stock almost 3000 maps covering the UK and unfortunately do not have the "local" knowledge of the area concerned and trying to find specific streets etc is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack unless you know where to look. All our maps have descriptions of the area shown so we suggest a bit of research should be able to narrow it down.
