CENTRAL CARDIFF 1916 - GLAMORGAN SHEET 43.15b
These detailed maps normally cover an area of about one and a half miles by one mile. Each map includes an introduction and many include extracts of directories, local transport timetables and additional maps.
We have published two versions of this detailed map, showing how the area changed across the years. It covers the centre of Cardiff, with coverage stretching from Clare Street eastward to Sanquhar Street, and from Windsor Place southward to Sophia Street. The city centre is shown in detail, with individual buildings neatly delineated.
The many features include tramways, railways, GWR station, Rhymney station, Taff Vale station; parts of Bute East and West docks with railways, staiths and docks; city centre area, Newtown area, Riverside Junction station, Cardiff Arms Park, Castle, Temperance Town area, Glamorganshire Canal, and much else. We include extracts from a 1906 street directory on the reverse of each map.
The map links up with sheets 43.11 Cardiff North to the north, Canton to the west, East Moors to the east and 47.03 Cardiff South to the south.
It will be posted in a board backed envelope to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
