Lower Edmonton 1936 - London Sheet 1b
STEVE GARTON GENEALOGY - GODFREY EDITION OLD ORDNANCE SURVEY MAPS
LOWER EDMONTON 1936 - LONDON SHEET 1b
These detailed maps normally cover an area of about one and a half miles by one mile. Each map includes an introduction and many include extracts of directories, local transport timetables and additional maps.
We have published two versions of this map, showing how the area changed across the years.
Each covers the NW part of Edmonton, including The Green and Lower Edmonton station, and stretches northward to Bury Street, westward to Edmonton Cemetery.
Features include railways with Edmonton stations, All Saints church, Constad Mills, tramways, Edmonton Cemetery etc.
Each map includes extracts from an early directory together with a specially written introduction to the history of the area.
The map links up with Middlesex Sheets 7.07 Enfield South to the north and 7.10 Winchmore Hill to the west; and with London Sheets 2 Picketts Lock to the east and 3 Upper Edmonton to the south.
It will be posted in a board backed envelope to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
NB: We are unable to do searches of maps. We stock almost 3000 maps covering the UK and unfortunately do not have the "local" knowledge of the area concerned and trying to find specific streets etc is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack unless you know where to look. All our maps have descriptions of the area shown so we suggest a bit of research should be able to narrow it down.
