These detailed maps normally cover an area of about one and a half miles by one mile. Each map includes an introduction and many include extracts of directories, local transport timetables and additional maps.

We have published two versions of this map, showing how the area changed across the years.

The maps coveran area south of Birmingham that includes much of Selly Oak and part of Bournville. Coverage stretches from Frederick Road eastward to Fashoda Road, and from Exeter Road southward to Bournville Lane.

Features include Kings Norton Union Workhouse, Midland Railway with most of Selly Oaks station (at top of map), enamel works, much of Bournville Works, Selly Park, St Paul's Convent, Ten Acres, Dogpool Inn, Raddlebarn Farm, Selly Hill House, St Edward's RC chapel, St Wulstan's church, Ewans Cottage Homes, etc.

On the reverse we include extracts from early street directories together with an introduction to the history of the area.

The map links up with Warwickshire sheet 13.16 Bournbrook to the north, Worcestershire sheets 10.03 Griffins Hill to the west, 19.01 King's Heath to the east, 10.08 Lifford to the south.

It will be posted in a board backed envelope to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
