Features include Giants Hall Colliery, Douglas Bank Colliery, Springfield Park, Standish Washery, Gidlow pits, Rylands Sidings, Martland Mill Bridge with tramway, Leeds & Liverpool Canal. The Beech Hill Avenue area is shown under development. A directory of Shevington, Beech Hill Lane, Woodhouse Lane is on the reverse.
